10/26/04 - Thanks very much for creating this site. I grew up in Orlando and visited Key West a number of times. I loved this show and was ticked to see it get cancelled. I left Florida after 33 years there. I was sad to see so much of what I had loved as a kid being paved over. Hopefully, Key West will fare better through the years. - Trey G., Hillsboro, OR

10/26/04 - I was very fond of this series when it was on. I thought I was the only one out there who remembered this series. I was a scuba instructor at the time and the show kind of matched my beach bum leanings. Glad to know there are others out there.

10/13/04 - I loved the Key West TV show, too. - Don E., Cypress, CA

8/22/04 - I just wanted to comment on your website and "Key West". I currently live in Southwest, Florida, specifically, Cape Coral. I am a graduate of the University of Florida and first saw the show in college and never missed an episode of the unfortunate short season. I read your stories and agree totally with the therapeutic effort of this truly uplifting show...I have set this website to my favorites and will check back as much as possible. 8/16/04 - I'm glad I found your website. I agree, "Key West" was the best little feel good series ever. - Keith, Alabama

7/29/04 - I was asked by my wife last night, what I considered the greatest television show of all time. Without a second's pause, I responded, "Key West" to which she replied, "What?" As it turns out, before today, I have only met one other person who has ever seen or heard of this short-lived, yet devilishly intriguing, program.

After I explained to my wife what "Key West" was about, it occurred to me that an information source as large as the Internet was bound to have references to the show. So I logged onto IMDB.com, typed in Jennifer Tilly, and scrolled down to 1993, incidentally a powerful year for me- my freshman year in college- when I decided to etch my life out as a writer. The site offered a few tidbits, some color commentary and your URL.

To find some people as unabashedly motivated and rewarded by this show is not only a welcome surprise, but perhaps a boon as well...I have book marked your website and will make visits from time to time. - Andrew M., Crofton, Maryland

7/27/04 - Do you ever think you will publish your tidbits and trivia about the TV series? I fell in love with Florida when I was 8 and vowed to move there one day. I finally did in 1986. I had to go to North Carolina to finish college in 1991. When the series came on in 1993 it was like seeing a long lost friend...Thank you for letting people like me that know we aren't alone in finding a comfort in this show...If you ever get to publishing your info, please contact me...Thanks for this site. - Don D, Homosassa, FL

7/23/04 - I am moved by your story. I only ever saw one episode (The System), but it burned in my memory. I am in the Navy, right now in the deployment. As a fourteen- year-old, I saw that one episode while watching TV on my uncle's shrimp boat on the Gulf. I come from D'Iberville, Miss. Serendipity! I was thinking about the wonderful work I used to enjoy, in my family tradition, when the memory of "Key West" came back to visit. I searched the Internet and found your site. I would love to know more about a series that snagged me with one episode. After 6 years in the Navy and 6 1/2 more months as sea, paradise is home. I will be there soon hopefully. - Matt Q., Norfolk, VA

7/6/04 - I was soooo pleased to stumble upon your site. You see I thought I was the only person in America that had seen this show. When I first came upon Key West, I was in Charleston, SC and at the lowest point in my life. Murphy's law had hunted me down and was playing havoc in my life...but then there was Key West. No matter how bad things were, there was this wonderful show on every week for me to lose myself in. - Christopher S., Waldorf MD

6/30/04 - I am thrilled to find others obsessed with the series, "Key West". I wish you success with the website and I can't wait to see more. - E. Larry D., Rockaway Beach, OR

6/27/04 - I loved the show. It's good to know I'm not the only one who recalls this show fondly. - Albert L., Iowa City, IA

6/6/04 - In 1993, I was living in Key West and was an extra on the show for a few episodes (I am the girl with the yellow bikini on the sail boat). I never saw a single episode since we did not have TV at the time. Key West is a very expensive place to live. Thanks to your site. I saw myself in the flash gallery. - Monique M., Sabrevois Quebec, Canada

6/17/04 - Hello, I'm a 17-year-old kid who was born and raised in Key West. Florida in 1986. I was a little too young in 1993 when this show came around and only recently heard about it when my mother told me that there was a sitcom called "Key West" filmed early in the nineties. I have since moved away from Key West to attend college in Gainesville and I dearly miss it. - Corey N., Gainesville, FL.

5/18/04 - I love the site - I was stationed at homestead AFB from 81 to 84. Saw the Conch Republic at it's best! - Les T., Oregon City, OR

4/17/04 - Hey, I just found your site. I was recently swindled into applying for a reality TV when one competes to be mayor Key West for a day. I'm putting together a tape, and I wanted to talk a bit about my only existing knowledge about Key West, which is a very vivid memory of the episode of the TV Series, "Key West" when a woman seduces a man by eating a bunch of roses. Is there any chance you can give me any more info on this episode? It's number, title or the name of the actress who did the eating? It would be a big help! - Ryan I

Editor's Note: The lovely Star, played by Kathleen York can be seen in episode 3, The Great Unknown. Ms. York can be seen as the Congress Woman Andrea Wyatt on the West Wing.

4/6/04 - This is a wonderful site. You have brought back so many good memories; I was reminded of Key West by seeing Jennifer Tilly on tonight's episode of Frasier, so I started a web search & landed here. Thank you so much! I've made the pilgrimage to the End of the World twice. Maybe, someday, I, too, will be there "to stay". I moved to Orlando from TN as a first stage. - Lee R., Orlando, FL

2/27/04 - It is amazing that there are people out there that liked this show as much as I did. - David R., Piscataway, NJ

2/18/04 - Hey Guys: I found your site through the forum on IMBD.com after I showed my roommates "We The People" one of the 3 Key West shows I have. I worked on all of the shows (except for the pilot) as an extra. I came to your site originally to try to find out if getting copies was possible, but became enthralled with your stories of trials and tribulations all being comforted and eased by the TV Show. The show was shot over 10 years ago, but if you have any questions at all that I may be able to answer, feel free to ask. I will try to remember much as possible. Take care. - Chris A., Key West, FL

2/9/04 - First, I love Key West...I discovered the placed when I was working for Eastern Airlines. Back in 1986! And I have been coming back time and time again and staying at the "Eden House", which is like a second home. When I was down there on a trip, I saw the film crew working around town so when I got back to Jersey, the show was airing! And I'm sorry to have seen it go off!! So, I'm happy to see that there is a web page!!! Thank You. - Steve R., Woodbridge NJ

11/17/03 - I, too, love the series...No one else I've talked to ever remembers it. At the time it aired, I only went to Key West, a couple times a month. I was enjoying the quieter life of the lower Keys. I remember when they were filming it, it made the local press, but my time in Malibu cured me of being star-struck. (Had I known Jennifer Tilly was in the show, though)....Now, though I spend most of my time in Key West, most of my friends are there. I thought about the series rarely, that is, until this morning...I recently fell from a ladder, breaking a bunch of ribs, and am stuck to indoor activities. This morning I was cleaning out my old videotapes. I hate throwing things away, so I went through each to make sure there wasn't a gem, and there and the end of a scratch tape was the episode "Gimme Shelter". I got hooked on it all over again. - Steve D., Florida

11/23/03 - Wonderful to read through your site. My entire family watched the show and cried when it ended. Thanks for the site - It's great that there are still those who love the series. - Dave D., Chippewa Falls, WI

10/29/03 - This series ended too soon. - Greg

10/8/03 - I loved that show and watched every episode. Being a write, Key West Struck me profoundly and I loved to Florida just as he did. Now I write fantasy and am on my third novel. Even after all this time, I love to see them again. - James C., Ft Myers, FL

8/30/03 - WOW! Was I ever glad to find THIS site! Appreciated the extended bios on the cast. Pleasantly surprised by Lara Piper's new career. - Frank, Alabama

8/28/03 - Would love to see the series. This truly is the most beautiful place on earth for myself and my husband. We go as often as we possibly can. Would love to cross all the details of the film. Love to know more. - Krun, Jeffersonville, IN

8/27/03 - Fell in love with Key West and show. Was also disappointed it was cancelled. - Joe

8/2/03 - This was my favorite show. - Erik R, Raleigh, NC

7/31/03 - I remember watching the first episodes of the series in January and February of 1993. I was also going through some trying times in my life then. (It was my mid-life crisis.) This was the only program I remember watching and enjoying at the time, I guess because it was so captivating.

Nearly one year after the series ended, I recovered from my depression and found myself in Key West working for the NWS. After a long separation from the weather career field I had found my worth again.

I just ran across your website today. It has rekindled my interest in the TV series. Just by chance, I have also been planning a vacation trip to Key West with my girlfriend, who less than a year ago experienced her first breast cancer scare....

We are leaving for the Florida Keys in 2 weeks via her car. - Steve and Veronica, Portage, MI

7/29/03 - I loved your website. I was beginning to think that no else in the country loved "Key West", other than me and my wife. In fact, we started watching the entire series over and over again since it first aired. It gets better with age and makes us wish that it had lasted more than 13 episodes. It was quality television and the entire ensemble case worked so well that after spending an hour with them, you couldn't help but feel great. - Aaron, North Tonawanda, NY

6/30/03 - I can't believe your site - I love it. I have been searching the web for Key West info for years. The show has always been my all-time favorite; but it's so obscure that I'm the only person I know who even watched the show...After years of searching through sites that just have simple Key West pages, finding your site was like discovering a treasure. - Matt C., Windsor, Ontario, Canada

6/8/03 - I, too, was a fan of this series. I never really got hooked on shows and with the crap that's on now, I rarely watch TV on a regular basis anymore. Maybe the competition was a little steep for Key West in '93, but it was a great show. Especially loved Jennifer Barlow as "Flame" - reminds me of an old girlfriend. Cheers! - EJ S., West Caldwell, NJ

6/8/03 - Love the website...Loved the Key West Show. Key West was probably our favorite show. We are visiting there in 4 weeks. Can't wait. - Dan, Beachwood, NJ

4/23/03 - I've just gotten through with the site and I'm crying like crazy. How could a TV show do this to someone? I can't believe that the Great Unknown was only episode 3. I was already so in love with the characters by then!...Through the years, I tried to find out information about the show...typing Key West into search engines and finding nothing...asking everyone I knew or met if they'd ever seen the show,..but to no avail. I finally drew the conclusion that I had to be the only one that felt this way and that I might be just a little crazy. The other night I was searching for AFI for my son. Key West flashed into my head...I got the strangest feeling that I might find something on the web if I tried a search...and I found TVTOME.with Bill's post about the Great Unknown. I cried and was suddenly full of excitement at possibly meeting a kindred soul!! All of this probably sounds ridiculous to anyone who hasn't watched the show, but I know that both of you understand my feelings. Thank you for the site. - Kris, Glendale, AZ

4/3/03 - Thank YOU for creating a website for what is indeed a TV treasure. It's been fun discovering that there are others out there who thought these thirteen TV hours were inspirational, too....I, too, suffered through the worst period of my life around '92, '93 & '94, and actually it didn't turn around for me until '98 or so. And like Bill, I returned to Key West, both t he show and the actual island, time and again, just to breathe some form of life back into my existence at the time. I thought I was the only loon who lived vicariously though the art of a defunct television program during my dark days. Than you for making me realize I was not alone! - Rob C, Bellmore, NY

3/14/03 - My very good friend Allan Marcil told me about you. I directed three episodes of "Key West" (my first venture in the USA), having first worked with Allan in Queensland, Australia in 1988 on "Dolphin Cove". We have been very close mates ever since, and one day we'll do something together again. I am thrilled that our show provided such a significant part of your recovery. You obviously went through hell, but it sounds like the triumph of the spirit has helped the body. "Key West" was such a fun show to make, and to spend 2 months in Key West itself was great - I even brought my family over for the last two weeks so that they could have a holiday there! It is a special part of the USA. I wish you continued good health, and the web site is one that I shall revisit often. - Geoffrey N, Sydney, Australia

1/26/2003 - I have visited your site and it is absolutely wonderful. Maybe the episodes can melt away my blues as well. - Mimi
